Reviews - Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers And Bastards

Review by Johannes - Belgium27th May 2007

Bend Down The Branches - This song is the incredibly sincere and lovely opening song of my favourite album of all time: Bawlers (Disc2) of the Orphans-trilogy. I think it is about the beauty of old age, about the mind staying pure, dragging the tired body along that road, with a light at the end, and it's not that far anymore. This song alone proves that Tom Waits is an extremely kind person. Pure genius!

Great collection. So atmospheric and poetically charming. Bawlers is my preferred of the 3 but that's just cause I'm a big softie! A must have.
