Bend Down The Branches - This song is the incredibly sincere and lovely opening song of my favourite album of all time: Bawlers (Disc2) of the Orphans-trilogy. I think it is about the beauty of old age, about the mind staying pure, dragging the tired body along that road, with a light at the end, and it's not that far anymore. This song alone proves that Tom Waits is an extremely kind person. Pure genius! |
