    I Love this song, since i am german. But the laughter scares me.... and the way he says it just sounds like my mother :)

    Great piece. Typical of his art to begin from a dark corner only to soon come into the spotlight of a circus. What a great example of absurdism. It moves the mind beyond the head. Don't be late.

    Actually it sounds quite correct, though the spelling would be slightly different in German: "Komme nie zu spät" - the words he repeats over and over again mean "Don't be late, be in time!"
I actually prefer "Alice" to "Blood Money" because it's more mystical.

    Have only just listened to Alice album and never realised the lyrics were pretend German - sounds so authentic!!! A brilliant track with a great beat - love it!

    This song is brilliant whole album along with blood money is another tom waits masterpiece!!!!
