This lost gem of an album is not so much a best of from his aslyum years, more an alternative collection of some very fine songs. The main highlight has to be the previousley unreleased 'Mr Henry', but the live version of 'The Piano has been drinking' is also delightful. Well worth buying if you can find it.

    This is an interesting collection, as it gathers some never-before-heard versions of some legendary songs and an additional ureleased one, but I think the label should easily omit the Bette Midler duet and put some earlier tracks on. It's not a very good resume of Tom Waits' work on Asylum.
