Reviews - Bend Down The Branches

Review by Johannes - Belgium27th May 2007

This song is the incredibly sincere and lovely opening song of my favourite album of all time: Bawlers (Disc2) of the Orphans-trilogy. I think it is about the beauty of old age, about the mind staying pure, dragging the tired body along that road, with a light at the end, and it's not that far anymore. This song alone proves that Tom Waits is an extremely kind person. Pure genius!

A masterpiece clocking in at 1:03! Heartfelt and serene. I hope it makes the Orphans set.
