Just heard the song at the end of a picture. I just felt my tears roll down my face. It is so beautiful and touching. |

This song was used at the end of German choreographer Pina Bausch's "Nefes". It was extraordinarily moving, and a profound example of one artist using the work of another's, enriching both. |

Simply... fantastic. for anyone who has ever been in love, made a mistake, and messed up, this song is... just... perfect. a pure work of genius, from the greatest songwriter of all time (except, maybe, bob marley). |

I'm 23 and I have a voice similar to Mr. Wait's. I swear this song makes me want to cry every time I sing it. |

"The dew will settle on our graves. All the world is green." It is amazing to look back at all the Tom Waits albums and to see how he has progressed. This song is such a beautiful song and that line it amazing. If Blood Money is Wait's last album, what a hell of a way to end a magnificant career. |

I heard just a stanza on NPR and both the tune and words lodged in my head. As Pavel wrote, just about perfect. |

The tune and TW's vocal are damn perfect!!! Don't know why but the melody of the song reminds me of the sea, to be exact of the Black Sea... a good old Crimea evening:-)) Huge thanks to Tom and his wife for such an excellent work!!! |
